The Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC

The Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC will be arriving in showrooms later on this year in October, prices start at about £22,800 for the entry level S trim and £26,880 for the top level SR trim.

The diesel 1.2 litre engine is new to the Honda CR-V range and you are also able to find that unit in the Honda Civic, which is British built. There is such a demand at the moment for two wheel drive economic SUVs, Honda made the decision to fit the CR-V with the 1.6 litre economical diesel from the Civic model, in an attempt to take advantage of the situation.

The Honda CR-V develops 119 bhp and 300 nm or Torque

The model develops 119 brake horsepower and 300 newton metres of torque, meaning that it also benefits for a years free road tax and then only £30 per year after that due to the low 199g of CO2 that is produced. The diesel engine also returns 62.8 miles per gallon and also has the potential to cover around 800 miles on just one tank of fuel.

There are three trim levels available on the CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC, the entry level S trim starts at £22,800. Standard kit for the model includes dual zone climate control, USB connectivity, DAB radio, cruise control, five inch multi info display, steering wheel mounted controls, 17 inch alloy wheels and electric adjustable heated wing mirrors. There is also an optional T grade available on the S trim, which adds bluetooth and sat-nav for £765. The mid specification SE trim adds front and back parking sensors, bluetooth, rear view camera, leather steering wheel and gear shift, and auto lights and wipes as standard. The SE models are priced at £24,660 and can be fitted with the T Grade upgrade, which adds sat-nav.

The range topping SR trim costs £26,880 and has all of the equipment that was featured on the S and SE models, though adds leather and alcantara upholstery, a premium sound system, heated front seats, privacy glass, 18 inch alloy wheels, passenger lumber support and Bi-HID xenon headlights with active cornering and washers.
