Spy pictures of the F-Type Coupe from Jaguar have been released on the internet after the car was spotted outside the company headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Although there is camouflage on the car, which has a two toned roof, there is certainly no mistaking the prototype for anything else, it is definitely the latest hard top version of the company’s latest sports car.
The new Jaguar bears a resemblance to the C-X16 concept
The new Jaguar model has a close resemblance to the C-X16 Concept vehicle that was first shown in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, including the cars roof, which swoops down toward’s the tail of the vehicle.
The Coupe is supposed to be making it’s debut in the middle of next year. A Jaguar spokesperson has exclaimed that the company have no plans to change anything about the current F-Type convertible line-up, for at least the first year that the car is on sale. The first customer F-Type Roadsters left the Jaguar ‘s Castle Bromwich factory on the 9th of May. This implies that the Coupe could be on sale here by Summer next year. The spokesperson also said that there had bee no decision as of yet on whether the F-Type coupe will cost less than the convertible.

The F-Type Coupe is said to be using the same engine line-up as the convertible, with two 3.0 litre V6 engines and a V8 range topper to choose from at the beginning. Though the coupe body, which is said to be a lot stiffer than usual is a lot better suited to applications of higher performance, so it is expected that the Jaguar F-Type R and RS coupes will be added sometime later in the cars life.
