Take-Two Interactive, the distributor of the game announced on Wednesday of this week that the latest Grand Theft Auto installment had grossed the massive sum in it’s opening day of sales. The amount is almost three times the budget that was used in creating and promoting the game, £170,000,000, from Rockstar North, the developer which is based in Edinburgh. These amounts beat the record for a game’s single day sales, which was set by Call of Duty: Black Ops II in November of last year, which made £310,000,000.
